Welcome to Cherry FLFM! 

Our mission is to provide a safe, inclusive, and respectful space for Sapphics to be themselves and create authentic connections. These community guidelines exist to ensure that all Cherry FLFM members enjoy a positive and respectful experience.

What does “sapphic” mean?

The term “sapphic” refers to female-aligned people who are attracted to women or female-aligned gender identities. At Cherry FLFM, we are inclusive of trans and non-binary people, ensuring that all are welcome in our community.

1. CHERRY FLFM COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

1.1.  Respect for Boundaries and Privacy

Everyone has different boundaries and comfort levels, so it is vital to respect the personal space of others. Do not share or solicit explicit content on public profiles or in private conversations without explicit consent from both parties. Also, never share sensitive personal information (such as addresses, phone numbers, or financial information), and be sure to report any inappropriate behavior or requests for sensitive information.

1.2. Zero Tolerance for Hate Speech and Discrimination

At Cherry FLFM, we do not tolerate hate speech or discrimination of any kind. This includes, but is not limited to, racism, transphobia, biphobia, fatphobia, ableism, sexism, and religious discrimination. Harassment, bullying, or any behavior that marginalizes others will be grounds for immediate expulsion from the platform.

1.3. Prohibition of Violent or Dangerous Content

Any content that promotes violence, threats, self-harm, or harm to others is strictly prohibited. This includes content that glorifies or incites violence or abuse. If you observe any activity involving violence or danger, report it and contact crisis resources.

1.4. Content Warnings for Sensitive Topics

When discussing sensitive topics that could emotionally affect other users, use content warnings so that others can decide whether they want to participate in the conversation or avoid it. This helps maintain a respectful and considerate environment.

1.5. Respectful Behaviour

It is essential that all interactions within Cherry FLFM are respectful and friendly. Avoid derogatory, rude, or demeaning comments. Conversations should be consensual and never forced. If you decide to end a conversation, do so politely and respectfully.

1.6. Consent as the Basis for All Interactions

Consent is key in all forms of interaction. Never send explicit messages, photos, or content without the clear consent of the other person. Any unsolicited sending of intimate content will result in immediate expulsion.

1.7. Security and Authenticity in Profiles

We want Cherry FLFM to be an authentic space. Creating fake profiles or providing misleading information is prohibited. All profiles must represent real people, and the platform takes steps to verify authenticity. Any accounts suspected of being fake will be investigated and may be deleted.

1.8. Equality and Diversity Policy

Our community prides itself on its diversity and we therefore want all members to feel accepted. Cherry FLFM fosters a space where people of different races, genders, sexual orientations, and beliefs can interact in a respectful and non-judgmental manner.

1.9. Prohibition of Cyberbullying and Inappropriate Behavior

Cyberbullying, in any form, is strictly prohibited. This includes unwanted messages, bullying, or persistent harassment. If a user harasses you, you can block them and report their behavior so that Cherry FLFM can take appropriate action.

1.10. We Do Not Allow Spamming or Unsolicited Solicitations

Cherry FLFM is a space for establishing personal connections, not for the promotion of products or services. The sending of unwanted messages or spam is prohibited, as well as requests for money or financial transactions between users.

1.11. Self-Care and Mental Well-Being

Interactions on dating platforms can be emotionally intense. We encourage you to practice self-care and take breaks if necessary. If you feel overwhelmed or in need of emotional support, Cherry FLFM can provide you with mental wellness resources.

1.12. Respect Others’ Time

It is important to respect others’ time. Avoid sending multiple messages in a row if you have not received a response. Allow conversations to flow naturally, without putting pressure on other users.

1.13. Comply with the law

Any illegal activity on Cherry FLFM is strictly prohibited. This includes the purchase or sale of illegal substances, human trafficking, and exploitation. In serious cases, Cherry FLFM reserves the right to report these activities to the competent authorities.

1.14. Post Only Your Own Content

You may only share content that you have copyright or permission to share. Do not post images or messages that belong to other people without their consent. If you use someone else’s content, mention the source and give proper credit.

1.15. Off-Platform Behavior

While Cherry FLFM focuses on on-platform interactions, we reserve the right to act on inappropriate behavior outside of the application if it affects other members of the community. This includes situations of harassment or abuse towards other users outside the context of Cherry FLFM.

2. REPORTING PROCESS

We encourage you to report any behavior that is inappropriate or violates our community guidelines. Reports are confidential and help us maintain a safe space for everyone. Our team will review each case and take appropriate action.

3. IMPACT OF VIOLATIONS

Violations of these guidelines may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent expulsions from the platform, depending on the severity of the violation. Cherry FLFM also reserves the right to investigate and take action when inappropriate behavior is detected that occurs outside the platform but involves Cherry FLFM users.

Cherry FLFM is designed by and for sapphics. I (Julia) drew upon my lived experiences and those around me to create an app with our community at heart. Cherry FLFM isn't just welcoming to sapphics—it’s built with us in mind, ensuring that every interaction reflects our values, needs, and desires. We want to create a space where the features and culture are inherently inclusive and affirming, where users can tell that the app was created for sapphics by sapphics. We know the importance of being in a space where our identities are respected, our pronouns are honoured, and our relationships are validated without question.

We prioritize safety and the user experience. Cherry FLFM uses advanced filtering to allow users to find people they are compatible with based on their priorities and preferences. Additionally, Cherry FLFM differentiates itself from other platforms with its enhanced security measures to prevent bots, catfishing, and inaccurate profile information. All users must complete two-factor verification and are encouraged to undergo photo + government-issued photo ID verification for added security.

In a world where sapphic spaces are often limited and dating apps are superficial, we wanted to create a different kind of app—one that prioritizes users and community over profit. We understand that making friends and dating can be difficult and that meaningful relationships come in various forms. We do not want users to choose between platonic and romantic connections, so instead, we hope to facilitate a safe, inclusive, and diverse space for sapphics to form meaningful relationships however that looks for you. We hope you feel a sense of community and belonging on Cherry FLFM.
